Rekha Shukla, the woman behind House of Radha, smiling in a red saree
Rekha Shukla

The woman behind the jewellery

Meet Rekha

Long before House of Radha had its name, it had Rekha. Customers knew the business by her name rather than the sign above the door, and they came back for her eye: which set suits a face, which earrings go with a saree, and how to look your best for an occasion without spending like it.

This is her story, and the reason every piece on this website is one she would choose.

The name

Named for Radha

Rekha named the shop after her elder daughter, Radha, who passed away when she was 13.

The name has stayed with everything since. When the shop became House of Radha, it kept her name at its heart, and every piece that leaves us still carries it.

Where it began

A shop known by her name

Rekha started Radha Jewelry Center. Over the years, the people who came in stopped asking for the shop and started asking for her. They trusted her to tell them, honestly, what suited them.

How she chooses

Every piece, checked by hand

Artificial jewellery is only worth buying if it looks right and lasts. Every piece we send out is checked by hand and packed in a House of Radha box, so what reaches you is something she would be happy to wear herself.

Why House of Radha

The same trust, now online

House of Radha keeps everything people trusted about the shop and brings it online, so anyone in India can shop the pieces Rekha chooses, pay securely and have them delivered to their door.

Every piece in the collection is one Rekha would choose.
